Wow, what a fantastic little collection of twisted and shocking thrillers this is. It may be small but boy, does this collection pack a punch. Featuring some of my most favourite thriller authors, I could not wait to get stuck into Quick Reads' Dead Simple collection and did so immediately after purchasing on my Kindle. It did not take me long at all to burst through these short but snappy stories, each one leaving me more gobsmacked than the last.

Within this Quick Reads collection, there is SO MUCH to look forward to, including everything from a Scrabble game in prison gone wrong, to a sinister ending for someone's old friend. The authors included have managed to compact so much darkness into such a short space, and it was just fantastic. I was gripped right the way through and loved each and every one of the short stories inside. I think a particular favourite of mine has to be the short provided by Clare Mackintosh though. I just couldn't get over how it ended! In all honesty, that's how of the shorts made me feel, leaving me reeling once finished.

I adored this little collection of the dark and the dangerous from some of the best known thriller writers around. They really showed off their skills and it is evident how well they know and enjoy writing their genre. If you're after something short and quick to read, but adore your thrillers too, then this collection is absolutely spot-on. It will satisfy your thirst for your favourite authors and leave you wondering how they manage to do what they do SO WELL.
